The main objective of this M.Ed. program is to empower students at a professional and personal level so that they acquire the necessary knowledge and skills to deal effectively with the issue of cultural diversity and otherness in various educational and research settings. Based on an interdisciplinary approach, it aims at (a) highlighting the ways the different disciplines study and construct cultural diversity and otherness as well as the ways they suggest for its management, (b) developing students’ cross-cultural awareness as well as their abilities to operate effectively in a multicultural educational setting, and (c) strengthening their qualitative and quantitative analytical skills with special emphasis on action research.
