Description

The program regards the scientific field of Geographic Information Systems with emphasis on programming tools and databases in GIS environment, online tools for commercial applications and research topics, both applied and at research level. It focuses on areas where the user has the ability to manage, analyze, process, save and display combined levels of information spatially and qualitatively. The Postgraduate Program leads not only to obtain a specialized degree, but also to gain experience and substantial knowledge in matters related to management and spatial analysis of information. The renowned teaching staff, with long experience in Geographic Information Systems and its technological applications, as well as the visiting scientists will make a substantial contribution to the education of students, aspiring to set high goals in the most modern technological and professional challenges.

Holders of a relevant first-cycle degree from a Greek university or equivalent foreign institution are eligible for admission to the program. The postgraduate program is especially addressed to graduates in the fields of Natural Sciences, Engineering, Geography, Agriculture, Medicine, Archaeology and Finance.
