MSc in Health Statistics and Data Analytics-HSDA

DESCRIPTION - ACCEPTED STUDENTS CATEGORIES: The Medical School of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki is starting a new MSc in Health Statistics & Data Analytics, since it is an emerging discipline. Health Statistics & Data Science is the science and art of generating data-driven solutions through comprehension of complex real-world health problems, employing critical thinking and statistical analytics to derive knowledge from (big) data.
This MSc combines mathematics, statistics, epidemiology and computer science. Main aim of the course is the training of a wide spectrum of scientists (medical doctors, dentists, biologists, pharmacists, bio-engineers, statisticians, informaticians, mathematicians etc) or health economics professionals on cutting-edge methodologies and technologies to manage and analyze very large diverse datasets across healthcare systems.
This will assist them in planning and conducting research programs, thus advancing their academic and professional career. Upon completion of the course, graduate students will gain strong quantitative, computational and practical data management skills, while providing opportunities to develop key professional skills required to be a successful health data scientist that can work in both the public and private sector
