DESCRIPTION - ACCEPTED STUDENTS CATEGORIES: Dental School graduates of Greek Universities or accredited international institutions, whose degree is recognized as correspondent and equal as the Greek one, by the Hellenic National Academic Recognition Information Center (NARIC/DOATAP).

COMMENTS: The purpose of the Postgraduate Program Oral Pathology, Surgery and Radiology, expressed by specialization:
1) Specialization in Dentoalveolar Surgery:
It is the provision of advanced theoretical and clinical knowledge, as well as the development of skills, on the one hand for the diagnosis and modern treatment of surgical diseases or conditions involving the oral area and on the other hand for the management of local or general problems and complications related to them. It also includes extended theoretical training for the treatment of patients with general diseases, training in the basic principles of surgery, as well as the rules of asepsis / antiseptic.It is possible to apply the clinical knowledge in the complete evaluation of the patient's problem, the proposal and the implementation of the treatment plan, as well as in the management of events / complications and situations resulting from the disease or from the operation
2) Specialization in Oral Medicine and Pathology-Hospital Dentistry:
It is the provision of advanced theoretical knowledge and clinical specialization in the specific scientific field. Sub-objectives are training: In the investigation and diagnosis of diseases of the oral mucosa, salivary glands and jaw bones, using clinical, imaging and other laboratory findings, including a complete histopathological examination where required. In the treatment of diseases of the oral mucosa, salivary glands and jaw bones, selecting and applying appropriate pharmaceutical and conservative invasive methods. To investigate the manifestations, interactions and effects on oral health of systemic diseases and their treatments. In the selection, design, appropriate modification and safe application of the appropriate dental and dental treatment of medically ill patients, depending on the underlying disease, the patient's state of health and the treatment administered in collaboration with the treating physician. 3) Specialization in Oral Diagnosis and Radiology:
It is the provision of advanced theoretical knowledge and clinical specialization of dentists in the scientific field of diagnostic methodology of oral diseases, in learning the basic principles of forensic medicine, in radiology, in radiotechnology and in the radiodiagnosis of patients with high clinical services and contribute to the development of the science of Diagnostic and Oral Radiology through research and teaching.
