Description

The Department of Physics of the University of Crete offers a one year intensive Master's Degree Program in "Advanced Physics". The curriculum offered is a combination of advanced general physics courses, a number of elective courses from a wide spectrum of modern physics reflecting the interests and activities in the Department, and it is completed by an original research thesis project. The state of the art facilities and expertise of the Institute of Electronic Structure and Laser at the Foundation for Research and Technology-Hellas (FORTH) and Skinakas Observatory are available for carrying out the research project.
