The Program entitled “General and Specialized Pediatrics: Clinical Practice and Research” is a Program in Contemporary Pediatrics tailored to the needs of specializing doctors, pediatricians, as well as nurses and health scientists, based on the premise that improving children's health depends on research, and that the provision of services requires a culture of continuous examination and evaluation.
It covers all aspects of pediatrics with the latest developments in a concise and simple, but not simplistic, logical order, with many educational images, graphs, and tables that aid in better understanding and logical retention of important concepts and information. It contains the theoretical and practical knowledge needed to learn about the growth and development of children and adolescents and to logically and critically understand the concepts of pathophysiology, diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring of sick children. It contributes to a better understanding of pediatrics and, consequently, to better care for the particularly sensitive pediatric population of our country.
