English-taught Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program entitled "Aerial Autonomous Systems". The program is organized by the Schools of Electrcial and Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Rural and Surveying Engineering of the Faculty of Engineering of Aristotle Univeristy of Thessaloniki. The School of Electrical and Computer Engineering is the host School. The Program focuses on understanding the fundamental concepts, principles, and technologies, as well as deepening knowledge in advanced methods of analysis, design, optimization, and control of aerial autonomous systems (unmanned vehicles). It combines various fields of engineering sciences, placing particular emphasis on their application in innovative, wide-ranging domains, including, among others, agricultural and surveying observations, forest area monitoring, natural disaster prevention and response, civil protection, and cargo transportation. Its goal is to equip students with the advanced interdisciplinary skills required for the design, performance, optimization, operational utilization, and assessment of the technical and economic viability of unmanned vehicle systems. In this context, students will acquire specialized knowledge governing modern autonomous systems in areas characterized by interdisciplinarity, further expanding the scope of the Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program. The Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program awards a Master’s Degree (M.Sc.) titled “Aerial Autonomous Systems.” The program does not have specializations. The minimum duration for the completion of the Master’s Degree is three (3) semesters, with the final semester dedicated to the preparation and writing of the master’s thesis.
Holders of degrees/diplomas from Higher Education Institutions in Schools/Faculties of Engineering, Schools of Physics, Computer Science, or Mathematics in Greece or from equivalent recognized institutions abroad, as well as graduates from technical schools of the Armed Forces, are eligible for admission to the Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program. By exception, graduates from other Schools of Sciences may be admitted if they can demonstrate several years of professional experience at an appropriate level in relevant fields.
Tuition fees are set at €2,000.00€ per full semester (€6,000.00€ in total) for EU citizens and €3,000.00€ per full semester (€9,000.00€ in total) for non-EU citizens.
In cases of part-time attendance, the total amount of €6,000.00€ or €9,000.00€ is allocated proportionally.
