The MSc in Modern Prevention and Treatment of Pediatric Diseases, within the scientific field of Pediatrics, aims to provide high-level postgraduate education. It offers: Advanced theoretical knowledge and clinical experience in the prevention and treatment of pediatric diseases, with emphasis on early intervention and conditions requiring specialized pediatric care; Applied and theoretical research training in related scientific fields. The Program operates under the Postgraduate Studies Regulation of the University of Thessaly. Objectives of the Program: To train and specialize new scientists in Pediatrics and pediatric subspecialties. To provide in-depth, up-to-date scientific education based on current literature and best practices. To equip graduates with the tools necessary for conducting research and generating new knowledge. To develop professionals capable of contributing successfully to the public, private, and academic sectors. To prepare graduates for further doctoral-level studies. Admissions: Student selection is conducted in accordance with Law 4957/2022 and the relevant University regulations. Eligible applicants include graduates from Greek universities and former Technological Educational Institutes (TEIs), as well as recognized foreign institutions (validated by DOATAP/DIKATSA), with degrees in Medicine, Nursing, Midwifery, Health Visiting, Physiotherapy, Social Work, or other related health sciences. Graduates of other disciplines may also be considered, provided they demonstrate relevant professional and/or research experience, subject to approval by the relevant academic bodies. Applicants holding degrees from foreign institutions must present a certificate of recognition and equivalence from DOATAP. If such a certificate is not available, recognition may be granted by the University of Thessaly, provided the institution and the awarded degree appear in the National Registry of Recognized Foreign Institutions and the National Registry of Degree Types, as specified in Article 304 of Law 4957/2022.
