The Erasmus Mundus Joint Master in Resilience in Educational Contexts (EMJM FLOURISH) is a two-year, full-time program taught in English, offered jointly by the University of Malta, University of Crete, University of Lisbon, and Stefan Cel Mare University. It equips educators and practitioners to support children and young people in adverse or marginalized contexts by building resilience and fostering wellbeing through evidence-based, culturally responsive, and systemic approaches. The 120 ECTS curriculum combines taught courses, practice placements, and a dissertation, with mobility across the partner universities. Students gain skills in resilience theory, educational program implementation, research methods, crisis management, and personal and professional development. Graduates receive a joint M.A. awarded by all four partner institutions.
Applicants need to be in possession of a recognised Bachelor Honours Degree (Second Class or higher), in Education, Social Sciences or an area related to professional work with children and young people considered to be equivalent. They will also need to provide evidence of the required proficiency level in the English Language. Preference will be given to candidates with at least some experience of teaching or working with marginalised children and young people.
