This program offers the following areas of specialization:
Health and Medicine
The postgraduate Programme in “ Forensic Medicine, Anthropology and Imaging” aims to offer multidisciplinary training and promotion of knowledge and skills at an advanced level in different areas of Forensic Medicine, namely Forensic Anthropology, Forensic Imaging, Skeletal Pathology and Trauma, Postmortem changes, Forensic Identification. The programme also offers the opportunity of exiting with a specialisation in Forensic Anthropology or Forensic Imaging.
Graduates of Departments of Medicine, Biology, Anatomy, Anthropology, Archaeology, Dentistry, Police Academies, Law, and related subjects from Greek universities or equivalent recognized institutions abroad are eligible for admission.
Interested parties who are not students of the Programme, are given the opportunity to participate – following their application to the Executive Committee of the Programme – in up to three modules of the Programme as attendees. The applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree (from Greek or Foreign Institutes) from Health Science Faculties (Anatomy, Medicine, Dentistry) or other relevant Faculties (e.g. Biology, Biochemistry) as well as graduates from Faculties relevant to the Programme’s scientific field, including Forensic Sciences, Anthropology, Archeology, Law, Nursing, Radiology, Police Academy etc. The selection of the applicants will be based on the same criteria as for the student candidates.
The attendees will receive a Certificate of Attendance, not an MSc diploma, with the corresponding ECTS following the completion of their responsibilities for each module.
The attendees will not be PG students and they will not have the rights and obligations deriving from the student status.
In this case, the cost for the Programme’s attendees is set to 900 euros per module with the possibility of a 10% fee reduction for the second module and 20% for the third module. This payment needs to be made upfront in order to secure the place in the Programme as places for modular study are limited.
