Description

The Program aims to specialize students in issues of economic theory and economic policy, taking into account the human resources staffing the Department. The purpose of the program is to meet the need for the provision of high-level teaching and research work by the Department’s faculty members, while at the same time addressing the demand for postgraduate studies in Economic Sciences in Greece. A key objective is for students of the Program to broaden their knowledge in: (a) theoretical tools for understanding the problems of economic theory, (b) practical skills for the design and implementation of economic and social policy, and (c) methodological tools for evaluating the implementation of economic programs. Upon completion of the program, graduates will have acquired the necessary skills for their professional career in fields related to economic science.

The Master's Program of the Department of Economics accepts graduates of Departments of Economics and Management, Social Sciences, and Natural Sciences of Greek universities, as well as graduates of corresponding departments from universities abroad, provided that their degree has been recognized by the Hellenic National Academic Recognition Information Center (NARIC) as equivalent.
