DESCRIPTION - ACCEPTED STUDENTS CATEGORIES: The aim of the Postgraduate Studies Programme of «Medical Engineering and Informatics» is to select outstanding graduates from relevant faculties and to train them in Medical Engineering and Informatics.
MEI targets the training and research towards applications that incorporate and promote modern cutting-edge medical technology in eHealth, such as
-computational analysis of biomedical data, biosignals and bioimages,
-integrated and connected health information systems, and medical technology standards for clinical application
-translational medicine.
MEI provides
-knowledge of basic health sciences to engineers and scientists in related disciplines and
-knowledge of engineering and technologies to physicians and health scientists
in order to create a common language of communication.
These scientists are expected to better combine their previous experience with technology knowledge in applied medical practice, thus improving the quality of health services.
The advantage of the MSc lies in its integration into the Department of Medicine, allowing synergy with the clinics and laboratories for the preparation of a thesis with an applied orientation.
MEI promotes a spirit of interdisciplinary collaboration and synergy between teams from medicine, biology, informatics, engineering sciences to best address research and applied challenges in the field of health care delivery as well as basic and clinical research and development.
