Description

The academic and research aim of the Interdepartmental Graduate Program: “Studies in Orthodox Theology” is to provide specialized postgraduate education in the study of all aspects of the Orthodox Church and Theology in the context of our modern world. Objectives: The program’s aims are: a) the development of the research and scientific knowledge in the field of the Orthodox Church of Theology, in its dialogue with the contemporary world and, b) the systematic scientific development of the inter-Christian and inter-religious dialogue towards the common confrontation of the various religious, political and cultural challenges of our modern multi-religious and multicultural society.

The M.S. “Studies in Orthodox Theology” aspires to provide its participants with specialized knowledge and expertise in all aspects of Christian-Orthodox Church and its theology and in the context of our modern world. Among the programme’s main objectives are: (a) the promotion of academic research pertaining to the Easten-Orthodox Church, in its engagement with the contemporary world; (b) the systematic development of inter-Christian and inter-religious dialogues amidst the various religious, political and socio-cultural challenges of our modern multi-religious and multi-cultural era.
