DESCRIPTION - ACCEPTED STUDENTS CATEGORIES: The Franco-Hellenic joint MA program “Language Teachers in Europe: Training for the Linguistic and Cultural Diversity in Schools” between the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the University of Angers was created in 2011. The joint MA program was developed in response to demographic changes in the student population in European schools, who are from multicultural and multilingual backgrounds.
This MA program is for teachers and future teachers involved in language teaching who wish to be trained in managing the cultural and linguistic diversity of today’s school audiences. This MA is designed to provide them with the knowledge and skills that will allow them to make the most out of linguistic and cultural diversity existing in the classrooms. The program combines theoretical learning with practical training based on tutored internships carried out in France and Greece in a multilingual school environment.
