The main purpose of this program is to provide specialized knowledge in the subject “Teaching German as a Foreign Language”, in accordance with the requirements of the field and the current needs of the labour market both in Greece and internationally. Students are systematically introduced to theories of language acquisition, research methodology and techniques of writing scientific papers, didactic-pedagogical principles for the teaching of a foreign language, communicative activities & abilities of the learner and the methodology for the planning & assessment of German as a foreign language course.
Graduates with a degree in a relevant field from Greek or recognized foreign institutions, with certified knowledge of German at level B2, are accepted. Knowledge of an additional foreign language and familiarity with the use of computers and the Internet are considered additional qualifications that facilitate participation in the program.
The Hellenic Open University's study programs are provided through distance learning. Students are required to pay a contribution fee for the Hellenic Open University's study programs.
