The purpose of the Postgraduate Programme in "Hematology-Oncology of Childhood and Αdolescence” is the promotion of knowledge and acquisition of skills in early diagnosis, therapeutic treatment and holistic approach to hematological diseases and cancer in children , adolescents and young adults (up to 21 years of age) with the provision of a high level of postgraduate education The thematic modules of the program cover the theory and practice a) early clinical- diagnosis b) basic and clinical-laboratory research in the field c) multifactorial treatment of diseases with modern chemotherapeutic protocols and targeted treatment, d) prevention, prenatal diagnosis and family counseling, e) follow-up of the long-term complications up to adulthood, timely issues of fertility and cardiovascular complications as well as psychosocial well-being and social integration.
