The program provides expertise for software development and implementation of algorithms in processing large volumes of Biomedical data, aiming to understand the complex biological mechanisms and new knowledge/concept discovery. The program prepares students and provides them with experience and expertise either to pursue a career in the private sector, in laboratories that require people with knowledge of bioinformatics for analysis of large volumes of Biomedical data, or to create scientists that can deal with the reaserch and teaching in the field of Bioinformatics in the academic / research sector.
