DESCRIPTION - ACCEPTED STUDENTS CATEGORIES: The object of the Interdepartmental Master's Program in Economics is the deepening of the graduates of the Departments of Economics, Social Sciences, Management, Polytechnics and Positive Sciences in the subject of Economics, the understanding of research methods and the preparation of students for the staffing of related professional and scientific areas.
2. The purpose of the Program is to offer a high level of education, aimed at the further promotion of scientific knowledge and the promotion of research in Economics.3. The main objectives of the Program are:
i. Supporting research, both empirical and theoretical.
ii. The close connection of the curriculum with the real needs of Greek businesses, organizations, the economy and society.
iii. The further promotion of knowledge, with rules of ethics, within a free academic environment, the development of research as well as the satisfaction of the educational and research development needs of the country.
iv. The provision of high-level modern knowledge and specialization of graduates in theoretical and applied areas of Economics, the conduct of high-level research, which will be published and have international recognition.v. The creation of an organizational infrastructure, which will strengthen the cooperation with respective P.M.S. of abroad.

vi. The adequate training of executives with knowledge, skills and abilities to work in the private or public sector, in businesses, organizations in the public administration, and to contribute with their knowledge to the development of Greek businesses, private and public, and the Greek economy in general .
vii. The provision of substantive as well as formal qualifications to students who wish to continue their studies at doctoral level.
4. The guiding philosophy of the Program is to ensure for postgraduate students a solid foundation, knowledge, methods and basic principles that will enable them to continuously learn and develop their abilities and skills. Based on this philosophy, instructors will use a variety of methods, including applied research, case studies, and computer-aided games and simulations.

5. It is understandable that the Program creates an obligation for all its operating factors to uphold the criterion of quality in every form of activity. Therefore, quality and its continuous improvement should distinguish the curriculum, i.e. the courses and their teaching methods, the relationships of the teachers with the postgraduate students, the relationships with the other Departments and the services of the University, the secretarial support and collaborative relationships for research and other events with private businesses as well as organizations in the wider public sector.
In the programme are accepted graduates of Economic, Social, Administrative, Polytechnic and Positive Sciences Departments of HEIs, as well as graduates of A.S.E.I. of the country or recognized foreign equivalent institutions. For holders of foreign degrees, the institution that awards the degrees should be included in the list of foreign institutions, maintained and updated by D.O.A.T.A.P.: "National Registry of Foreign Recognized Higher Education Institutes".
